Varadero Nights

That there was not a palm in sight could have discouraged us. That the beaches were far more than a easy stroll away, and that the idea of food stamps and embargoes and the Carribean were nothing more than distant concepts may have been dispiriting. But we improvised, and created, and brought the Cuban Resort town of Varadero to Perth for an evening of smooth sounds, strong drinks and a whole lot of Cuban style. Then we got drunk. It ended well.
