Things I will miss about my neighborhood:

• The standing army of kids that live near my apartment block have finally given up trying to post me action figures, feed me bugs, or poison me, and have settled on attacking me with swords and yelling “hello” at any given opportunity.

• At the bottom of the hill is a liquor store called “Hill Billy” that sells cans of Singapore Sling for around 80 cents and bottles of rum for eleven bucks. There are ten kinds of awesome, and this shop is all of them.

• I can ride to work in seven minutes, walk in about 25, or wake up late and sprint frantically down the hill whilst trying put on my shirt in 13.

• We have some awesome (and delicious) traditions, and some great characters.

• You can walk for 10 minutes and be in the middle of nowhere. It’s easy to get away from it all.

• The sunsets in summer are breathtaking.
