Corpse Bride

  • Grim Fandango anyone?
  • Has Bonham Carter played a “normal” character? Ever?
  • Texture work was incredible. The sets looked real.
  • The world needs more singing skeletons.
  • Nothing mindblowing – a polished and enjoyable distraction.

Shoutouts

She played a hip version of Saffron in an episode of Absolutely Fabulous; in the dream sequence Eddi had while she was having “surgery” on her toe. ;D

This thing better be less painful than nightmare before xmas :\

I went to the UK premiere of that, (well, stood outside, anyhow) and got to see Tim Burton and Helena Bonham Carter right up there in the make-up-caked flesh. If I’d been organised enough, I could even have got his autograph and turned into a real life anorak-wearing celebrity spotter. Dammit.

Wow, rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous. You didn’t get a chance to yell, “Johnny, have my babies!” and launch yourself at him, did you?

That’s totally what I’d do.

I would’ve done, but Rob dragged me to the pub before I could get myself arrested

Beer is a valid substitute for Johnny, sure, but Helena? I think I’d have to be dragged off her before I could be dragged to the pub.
