Friday: An impromptu visit to Troop after realising that heading to Osaka for that all nighter perhaps wasn’t the best idea. The gig was called Tonic Jam and the music was billed as latin-flavoured house which makes the first DJ’s choice of tunes (a selection sounding something like remixes of Japanese soapie theme tunes with extra bongos) all the more bemusing. The second guy up spun some danceable stuff and there was some very nice art by local illustrator silsil around the place. Worth it, if only to jump around for a few hours.
