Today I burnt my hand on a waffle. Of all the things to injure yourself on, I did it with a waffle, how utterly ridiculous. I chucked it in the toaster and forgot that a waffle covered in sugar is going heat up rather quickly and be very sticky upon removal. The little bastard stuck to my fingers like glue, while I shook my hand and yelped. What with stabbing myself in the face last week, going deaf for the weekend and smearing searing caramelised sugar all over my hand, I’m a little worse for wear. The worst part is that it is three incidents are all laughably self inflicted. I think I should be in the market for a dunce cap or something.
