Sotsugyou

Well graduation has come and gone and the third years are out of the picture for good. It’s all a bit sad really. They were a great bunch, really on the ball and way more outgoing and vocal that most Japanese students of the same age. I think that having a bunch of them that had spent a year overseas helps that out a lot. One of them, Aki, spent a year near Brisbane and came out with an Aussie accent that’s about a billion times stronger than mine, which is pretty hilarious the first couple of times you hear her letting rip in English, mate. Definitely a case of hilarity due to differing expectations; if that makes any sense at all. Like, you do not expect that voice to come out of that girl, or something.

I also lost my bet with Dave about their homeroom teacher (in the pink below). You see, she’s got a bit of a reputation as the school hardass and she keeps the kids in line with threats (and actual) physical violence. As far as she’s concerned a yelled “Shut up!” and a slap to the head goes a long way. We were trying to figure out whether she was actually going to be sad to see her class off or whether she’d be partying until April. I said I expected at least a couple of tears at the ceremony, Dave said there wasn’t even a chance. He was right. Like a rock, she is.

We were cooerced into this photo with further threats of violence.

YOU! I just stumbled across you looking up something about the Postal Service. And having only just entered the sordid world of blogs I had yet to find one interesting or amusing enough to finsish reading though and or want to read more. And Godbless you for being such a prolific mothertrucker too. I just started Myspace so i’m in awe of your bogging ability. My patience only allows for about a 5 sentence entry every 3 months. But I will say our top 10 lists have many mutually exclusive elements which means I’m a fan. So just stopping by and Giving It Up to you and your site. Keep up the Asian flava haha and keep writing things I can chuckle outloud to at (what is it 3am now!?)
