The yearly culture festival at the school is pretty solid evidence of just how quickly reinterpreted American culture is destroying Japan. Of course this is but my own humble opinion, but watching kids badly mime Bette Midler, dance in syncronisation to R&B music and basically look like complete retards dolled up in bling bling clothing made a little part of me die. One of the third years greeted me this morning with “Yo, wassup, my nigger?” in stilted katakana English so it sounded more like “Yo, watto uppu. mai niiga”. You have to laugh, but it’s quite disturbing.

I’ll post a tonne of photos of the Bunkasai over the weekend.
