Tezuka museum
Osamu Tezuka is regarded by many in Japan as the “God of Manga” and has had an enormous impact on both western and Japanese animation. If you’re interested in more, hit up this page, which has some good information:
The impact Tezuka has had on Japanese comics is almost impossible to exaggerate, because he created the present form of the medium. Maybe it stems from his medical education or from the Japanese character, but Tezuka had an enormous respect for life. This respect is a theme that can be traced throughout his work, the most important being ‘Phoenix’.
There’s a Tezuka musuem a couple of hours train ride from my place, so last weekend I headed out and checked it out.
