Muppets invade Japan…

I was on the train home this evening from Sannomiya. It was just a normal local train, which means all of the station annoucements and whatnot are done by the dude who stands in a little booth at the back of the last carriage. I was sitting in the last carriage so I could see him quite clearly. Anyway, he started his annoucement and I swear to god he sounded exactly like Guy Smiley from Seasame Street, except in Japanese. So I glanced across and to my surprise he was twiching as he annouced each word, looking for all the world like he was on strings being manipulated from out of sight.

I got more than a few weird looks when I started giggling to myself.
