This looks like one of the more interesting movies due out this year. It’s about Bill Murray playing a washed up actor who’s doing television commercials in Japan. I suppose something like this would have interested me in Oz because all things Japanese have always held a certain fascination for me. That and the fact that it looks like it’s going to be a pretty good movie on its own.

However, now I’m here in Japan the whole concept intrigues me – mainly because just in the trailer there’s a whole bunch of stuff I can identify with and go, hey, shit, that’s happened to me, or I’ve seen people do that. Will the Japan Hollywood portrays be the same Japan I’m experiencing at the moment? Definately one I’ll be catching when it finally gets here.
