Tijuana
On Friday we headed out into Sannomiya to check out a Mexican restaurant that Dave had spotted the week previously. I’ve been dying for some good Mexican food ever since we got here, as we probably have some variation on chilli con carne, burritos, fajitas or enchiladas at least once a week at home. The Tijuana is owned by the absolutely crazy Japanese/Spanish guy who mutters to himself constantly. Whether he’s salting a margarita, snapping cinnamon sticks or just gesticulating wildly, he’s got a running monologue happening in a mix of Japanese and Spanish. The food was pretty good though, and they had, joy of joys, bottles of sangria. Ole!
Following the Mexican we went to Terra’s where Terra proceeded to get us hideously drunk on a single cocktail, played 80s records to us and then drove us home. Terra is the best bar in the universe.
