Himeji Castle & Art Museum

Made the trip out to Himeji on the weekend, and thought I’d better go do the cultural thing and check out Himeji castle. Unfortunately it was closed for the afternoon, but I managed to get some quite cool photos. I wandered off to the adjacent art museum and saw some genuine Matisse paintings though, so that was a pretty good consolation prize. I think I’ll have to come back and climb to the top of the castle sometime fairly soon.
